State Pension Navigation
The state pension calculation depends on your National Insurance contribution record from the day you started working until you reach pension age. Missing years, gaps from self-employment periods, or time spent caring for family can reduce your final pension amount.
We obtain your full NI record from HMRC, identify any gaps that could be filled through voluntary contributions, and calculate whether making those contributions would increase your pension enough to justify the cost. Many people don't realize they can still fill gaps from previous years if they act before specific deadlines.
For those already receiving state pension, we review whether you're on the correct rate and check if you qualify for pension credit or other supplementary support.

Disability Living Allowance Claims
DLA applications require detailed evidence about how your condition affects daily activities and mobility. The assessment focuses on what you cannot do or can only do with difficulty, not simply the medical diagnosis itself.
We help structure your application to clearly demonstrate the impact of your condition on daily living. This includes gathering supporting evidence from medical professionals, describing typical days in the detail assessors need, and explaining how your needs vary.
If your initial claim is rejected, we review the decision and handle mandatory reconsideration requests or tribunal appeals. DLA tribunal success rates are significantly higher when appellants have professional representation and properly structured evidence.

Universal Credit Optimization
Universal Credit replaced six previous benefits with a single monthly payment calculated using multiple variables. The calculation considers your income, housing costs, number of children, childcare expenses, and various other factors that change monthly.
Errors in UC calculations are common but often go unnoticed because the payment amount changes every month anyway. We audit your UC award against your actual circumstances, check whether all applicable elements are included, and verify the calculations are correct.
When we identify underpayments, we submit mandatory reconsideration requests and pursue backdated corrections. We also help you understand how changes in your circumstances will affect future payments so you can report them correctly.

Carer's Allowance Applications
If you provide at least 35 hours of care per week to someone receiving certain disability benefits, you may qualify for Carer's Allowance. The weekly amount is modest but the benefit also provides National Insurance credits that protect your state pension.
The application requires proving both the caring relationship and the time commitment. We help document your caring responsibilities in the format required, ensure the person you care for is receiving a qualifying benefit, and handle any questions about your eligibility if you have part-time earnings.
Many carers don't claim because they assume caring for a family member doesn't count or because they earn a small amount from part-time work. We clarify what actually qualifies and whether your earnings are below the threshold.

Personal Independence Payment Reviews
PIP replaced DLA for working-age adults with new assessment criteria focused on specific activities and mobility descriptors. The points-based system awards different scores depending on whether you can complete tasks reliably, repeatedly, safely, and within reasonable time.
PIP assessments involve both a questionnaire and usually a face-to-face or telephone assessment. The assessor's report then goes to a decision maker. Many claims are rejected because the assessment report doesn't accurately reflect the claimant's limitations.
We review rejected decisions, identify where the assessment was inaccurate or incomplete, and build mandatory reconsideration requests with additional evidence. If reconsideration doesn't succeed, we prepare tribunal appeals and attend hearings to present your case directly.
For those already receiving PIP, we also handle review claims when your condition changes or when the DWP initiates a scheduled reassessment.

Attendance Allowance Claims
Attendance Allowance provides financial support for people over state pension age who need help with personal care or supervision due to illness or disability. Unlike some benefits, it's not means-tested and doesn't depend on your NI record.
The claim form asks detailed questions about your care needs throughout the day and night. We help you describe these needs accurately, gather supporting evidence from health professionals, and ensure the application clearly demonstrates why you qualify for either the lower or higher rate.
Many older people don't realize they qualify because they manage with help from family or because their needs seem normal for their age. Attendance Allowance recognizes that even if you're coping, you still need support that others don't require.
